Whitemail

We have a tremendous amount of experience in processing whitemail transactions for our current clients, so we know how varied the scenarios of mail receipts can be. Unlike many companies that use the term “whitemail” generically to mean any type of transaction that is considered to be an exception, we define whitemail as being strictly those transactions where we receive only a check or cash and no response form, coupon, statement or any other identifying documentation.

We generally find that whitemail volumes increase dramatically-to-exponentially at year-end and at times of disaster. The increasing usage of Internet bill-pay services by donors has also led to an influx of donations that are mailed with no response forms.

We work with our clients closely to implement business rules to manage whitemail items as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible. Some of our clients literally have pages of codes and business rules for assigning the proper designations for the appropriate circumstances. Depending upon the client’s preferences and the capabilities of the database platform, there are several ways we are able efficiently process whitemail items.
