Data Capture
Agilis utilizes high-speed processing technology to automatically
capture embedded variables contained in an OCR scan line and
MICR line. Given the sheer amount of information that can be
contained in a scan line and the automated manner in which
they can be read, we feel scan line processes are far superior
to other forms of data capture, such as barcode processes.
Furthermore, through the utilization of a two-fold check digit
routine, a data accuracy confidence level of 99.9% can be achieved.
For clients who send out acquisition mailings, scan line processes
are an efficient, automated way to capture new donor data. This
automated process eliminates the need for manual data entry of
the new donor’s contact information, greatly reducing the amount
of time and money spent on acquisition mail processing.
For the many scenarios that require manual data entry, we are
able to capture data into our system or enter data directly into
our clients’ live database. For data entry into our system, with
the data then uploaded to our clients, we feature the usage of
Turbo Edit Queues to help ensure data entry accuracy as well
as to facilitate greater data entry speeds. These Turbo Edit
Queues are customized application screens that are specific to
every individual capture run for each of our clients, resulting
in faster, more accurate data entry.
In addition to the manual data entry performed by our operators,
we are also able to perform live database look-ups and direct
data entry for clients that utilize database platforms that can
accommodate such access. Live data entry is generally in the
form of name or address changes, telephone number or email address
updates, new account creations, suppression requests, free-form
comments or suggestions, etc.
